I believe that in every culture there is a go-to fast snack that dates decades ago. Its the same for the classic tomatoes bruschetta recipe. What I love about bruschetta are the simple ingredients, endless combinations, literally a snack that you can make in 5 min which keeps you full and good to go.
What is bruschetta and how can you make it at home?
Bruschetta is a very gratifying dish you can prepare with many variations. The base for bruschetta is the bread.
In the past, people have used the homemade bread cut in nice thick slices, grilled them (the slice needs to get nice crunchy crust but needs to remain soft inside) and depending on season or region in Italy they would add toppings.
Most likely they would rub it with a clove of garlic, drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt. In some regions, they would add sardines, sausages or simple fresh tomatoes.
Birthdays have always been special in my Croatian family and now my Italian one is exactly the same. We celebrate, we eat, we drink and we are loud. In December we have celebrated 74th B’day of my father in law and as usual, I have made his favorite Cream puffs with vanilla cream or how we call them in Italy, Bigne con la crema pasticcera.
Fresh melon and prosciutto appetizers
Summer in coming to its end and I feel like I need it to last just a tiny bit longer. What better way to do it, than with food? One of my go-to instant summer foods is melon and prosciutto. Juicy and delicious with every single bite, just how I like it.
Here and there I like to add some fresh basil to give it that fresh herby nutty taste. Is herby even a word, or did I just made that up? 🙂
Broccoli is such a great vegetable. I just love it’s juicy trunk and flower full top. What I also like it’s how you can combine it in so many ways, never getting bored. One of the Italian traditional pasta recipes is for sure broccoli & sausage pasta

For sure this is the best Vegetarian pasta with broccoli, cauliflower and brussel sprouts you have tasted this year! 🙂
The other day I was going through a magazine and have found this recipe of vegetarian pasta with broccoli, cauliflower and Brussel sprouts. 3 sister vegetables combined together with Orecchiette pasta (to me this pasta looks more like little hats) made our delicious dinner.
Typically I would never combine all these ingredients myself, but once I have made the recipe my boyfriend loved it and I had to share it with my tribe.
